Drugs
Click Here to PlayI woke up hung over this morning
And I know I should probubably take it as a warning but I
Just stumbled out my medicine cabinet
And I popped five ibuprofen but I don’t call it a habit
It made me feel tired, yeah it made me feel lousy
So I chugged the largest energy drink
at the corner store so I don’t feel drowsy
But when the shit hit my empty stomach
You’d almost think it was mean
But like a cartoon character
A light bulb went on above my head only it was green…oh
“Puff puff pass.” He said condescendingly
He knows that I’m a model citizen
Of course I don’t smoke weed
But I’ll take two zanax not for my panic attacks
No, it’s just a little something else to help me relax
Like a triple malt scotch and a couple of packs
Of cigarettes to ease my regrets
They say there’s a war, a war, a war
On our drugs
We just want more, and more, and more
Americans can’t get enough
I’m following my shadow with the hot sun on my back
I’m alone. I’m tweaked out drunk and stoned…
I’m wounded and the slightest bit worried
That this trail of blood will lead the wolves to me in a hurry
I’m playing fetch with a rattle snake with no fangs
I’m placing bets on a battle cage with no chains
I’m writing checks out from three different names
It’s a bull’s eye no matter which direction he aims..
Okay, that’s enough messin around and shouting out your battle call
It’s time to get some shit done so go ahead and pop an Aderol
Actually make that two, my middle name is over-do-it
Don’t spit, swallow it down and grab us another round
Cuz in the morning we’re taking the first grey hound outta town..
They say there’s a war, a war, a war
On our drugs
We just want more, and more, and more
Americans can’t get enough
